Areas of Focus

Sunlit Ripples in Water

Individual Therapy for Adults

I work with adults who are navigating overwhelm, burnout, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck. Whether you're managing life transitions, emotional stress, or old patterns that no longer serve you, therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Parenthood & Postpartum Support

Becoming a parent changes everything—and it’s not always what we expected. I support new and seasoned parents through identity shifts, postpartum mood changes, nervous system regulation, and the emotional weight of caregiving.

KAP Preparation & Integration

Psychedelic experiences can be profound, but without thoughtful preparation and integration, they may feel confusing or disconnected. I offer non-judgmental, evidence-informed support before and after ketamine-assisted therapy to help you ground insights and create meaningful change.

Medical Stress & Chronic Conditions

If you’ve experienced a medical diagnosis, chronic illness, or healthcare-related trauma, you’re not alone. I offer therapy that holds space for grief, fear, and uncertainty—while helping you reclaim agency and emotional clarity in your care journey.

As someone with deep roots in both military and hospital systems, I understand the pressure, grief, and complexity of showing up for others while trying to hold your own life together. Therapy can help you create space to process and heal.

Emily Holland LCSW, PMH-C
Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Perinatal Mental Health Certified Therapist

Hi, I’m Emily Holland, LCSW, PMH-C. I’ve spent over a decade working with adults navigating stress, burnout, caregiving, identity shifts, and trauma. My background includes years in hospital and outpatient settings, where I supported patients and families through some of life’s most difficult moments.

I bring a calm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental presence to therapy. My style is warm and grounded—but also clear, practical, and deeply informed by trauma work. I believe healing happens in relationship, and that therapy should feel like a space where all parts of you are welcome.

I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), which deepens my work with clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and the complexities of parenting.

My practice is especially attuned to those who tend to carry a lot—emotionally, logistically, invisibly. Whether you’re in a season of transition, feeling depleted, or seeking a deeper connection with yourself, I offer support rooted in curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based care.

I’m trained in multiple trauma-informed modalities and offer preparation and integration support for clients engaging in ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP).

I work with adults across California via secure telehealth & in person, at my office in San Diego, CA.

Holding Both: Trauma Integration and Identity in SOF Partnerships and Parenthood
This presentation explores the complex emotional landscape experienced by partners of Special Operations Forces (SOF) service members, focusing on the delicate balance of integrating trauma with identity, relationship, and family life. It offers insights into how trauma manifests within SOF partnerships and parenthood, emphasizing the importance of holding space for both vulnerability and strength. Through trauma-informed approaches, the presentation provides strategies for emotional regulation, resilience building, and fostering connection amidst the unique challenges of military life. Designed for clinicians and community members alike, it aims to deepen understanding and support for the often invisible emotional journeys of SOF families.
